  Padmashri Smt. ArunaSairam to perform at NaradaGanaSabha, TTK Road, Alwarpet Chennai 18 on Saturday, 16^th December 2017 at 4:00pm.

  Smt.Aruna Sairam will begin her concert with a rare varnam in Thodi composed by the legendary Subbraya Sastri. This was composed when Subbraya Sastri was 8 years old. For the main piece, Smt. Aruna will again take up Thodi. This is on the lines of the concert pattern of the old grand Masters of music, who would sing the varnam in the same raga as the main piece and the audience would immediately know the raga which will be taken up for detailed elaboration later in the concert as the main piece. 

  The Kriti for the main piece will be the epic composition of Muthuswami Dikshithar "Rama Chandraya Namasthe". She will be accompanied by Sri Vittal Ramamuthy on the Violin, Sri J Vaidyanathan on the mrindagam and TrichySri Murali on the Ghatam.
