  MUSIC An evening of abhangs by Aruna Sairam

  Every kind of music has a fan following. And, here's an opportunity abhang lovers will look forward to. Vocalist Aruna Sairam presents 'Rang Abhang', an evening of abhangs, accompanied by an ensemble of ten musicians from North and South India.

  Abhang or abhanga is a form of devotional poetry sung in praise of Vittala, also known as Vithoba. Though bhajans are seen to be similar to abhangs, bhajans focus on the inward journey while abhangs are more exuberant expressions of the communitarian experience.

  Organised by IndianStage, an entertainment company, the concert will be held at 6.30 p.m. on October 23 at The Music Academy.
